My name is April McNamara, I am a designer living in Portland, Or with my husband who can usually be found in the garage building our next adventure camper van. I have an industrial design degree from the Art Institute of Portland and I bring 15 years of experience working for companies like Columbia Sportswear, Mizuno and Sorel.
My innate curiosity and desire to problem solve fuel my passion for design. I have been an avid outdoor sports enthusiast for the past twenty years. This has created a deep understanding of the history of action sports and keeping an eye on the current trends comes naturally. Considering that I am an end-user myself, I have high expectations for products, which in turn pushes me to design the best.
I am a team collaborator and have a broad range of skillsets that includes the ability to sketch and ideate, knowledge of product development & construction, material & color application, as well as strong graphic design skills.
